Earth Science Syllabus

Classroom Policies:

• Golden Rule: "Treat others as you would like to be treated."

• Sit down!

• Be prepared: bring in books, assignments, and writing utensils

• Take notes

• Respect:  All items in the classroom including classmates and teachers.

• Language:  Use of inappropriate language will NOT be tolerated in the classroom.

• No food or drinks allowed in the classroom.

• Consequence: A student who chooses to NOT obey the rules is choosing a consequence for his/her actions.

Attendance:

• Will be taken immediately after the bell rings

• Students are considered late/tardy if he/she is not in his/her seat when the bell rings.

Grades:

• The grading scale is posted in the front of the classroom and can be found on my website.

• Grades will be figured by using an average of all work (tests, daily assignments, and quizzes)

Book:

• Each student will receive a textbook.

• The textbook MUST have a book cover on at all times!

Homework:

• All homework is to be turned in on the due date.

• Late work:  A student may turn in homework after the due date, however for each day that the assignment is late, a letter grade will be docked.
